"Zack!" Sephiroth yelled, rounding the corner. He saw the wayward animal at the base of a boulder, standing on his hind legs and barking excitedly at something on top of it.

The 'something', Sephiroth saw, was a young man, sitting on top of the boulder and looking very nervous at the barking dog below him.

"Zack!" Sephiroth said, catching the dog by the collar and yanking him back, "Down, mutt! I'm sorry, did he frighten you?" Sephiroth looked up at the young man on the rock.

The boy was stark naked, and covered in a layer of drying salt. He must have been a shipwreck victim. The storm that had very nearly claimed Sephiroth's life two days ago had destroyed more than one ship, and there was some debris here on the shore. Sephiroth looked at him closely. His hair was bright blond and disheveled, flying in all directions, and his eyes were the most intense blue he'd ever seen...

"You... seem familiar," Sephiroth said, "Have we met before?"

The boy smiled, nodding enthusiastically.

Could this boy really be the one who had pulled him from the water and saved his life? Those bright eyes seemed so familiar, but... "What's your name?" Sephiroth asked.

The boy mouthed something, and his hand went to this throat. He looked upset, but not surprised at his inability to speak. Then he couldn't be the one who'd kissed Sephiroth gently and promised to come see him again.

Either way, though, this boy clearly needed some help. Sephiroth took off his shirt and wrapped it around the boy's shoulders, "Come with me," he ordered, though not unkindly, "I'll help you out."
